But for those of us who feel it's out of place, I think you can see where we're coming from. Cause youre a sky, cause youre a sky full of starsIm gonna give you my heartCause youre a sky, cause youre. Well, sure but then you could say that about literally anything.įor anyone who likes the song (such as yourself), more power to you.

And then people who enjoy it say "well it helps bring in a vibe of playfulness". Put it this way: imagine if on AROBTTH, just before Amsterdam, Coldplay threw in a cover of Play That Funky Music (White Boy). It takes all the subtle and restrained and lamenting themes of the story before and around it, and then shoves a beer in your hand, punches you in the arm, and tries to get you to jump up and down next to it. Which is exactly the opposite of what the album is trying to be. The song itself is fine (it's too generic for my tastes it feels like it was made by a Coldplay song generator) but subjectivity aside, it's so obviously shoved in to give the album that "big single". Alliteration is the repetition of initial sounds in neighbouring words. A Sky Full of Stars song from the album Ghost Stories is released on May 2014. But it's okay because even if those songs weren't as good, they still contributed to this new direction and the themes and atmosphere of the album.Ī Sky Full of Stars doesn't just feel out of place, it completely disrupts the record imo. Listen to Coldplay A Sky Full of Stars MP3 song.

I wasn't a fan of Ink, Another's Arms, or Oceans. Coldplay’s most recent single, Sky Full of Stars, gets the as Gaeilge treatment this time and, as per usual, it’s perfect. Always In My Head, Magic, True Love, Midnight, O.they were a brilliant middle ground between old Coldplay and "new" Coldplay (for the time). It was marrying the Viva/MX optimism with AROBTTH's more tragic, self-reflective focus, but turning big world stories into small personal stories. After the color and ambition and bombast of Viva and MX, it felt much more subdued. Well, if you don't mind my saying so, I'm on the opposite end of that.
